  15.     Background:
  16.     I am maintaining a program someone else wrote. In the beginning I was not 
  17. able to survey all the details so when I had written a new function to replace 
  18. an old, I did not delete the old one because I was not sure if I would need 
  19. that particular function in another part of the program. (The program has three 
  20. parts that are pretty similar in certain aspects, I started working on one of 
  21. the parts).

  23.     Question:
  24.     Now, I have a lot of string definitions and a lot of functions that I do 
  25. not use anymore. Both strings and functions are not static-declared. I want to 
  26. delete these strings and functions. Does anyone know a program who can check if 
  27. these are used? Can PC-lint do it?
